AACOMAS is $18 more for the first school and $12 more for each additional one, so the gap at n schools is $18 plus $12 times (n minus 1). The MD and DO services are separate applications; the last column is the cost of sending the same number of schools through each.

What the comparison leaves out

Fees are one small part of the choice. MD programs use AMCAS (AAMC) and DO programs use AACOMAS (AACOM); Texas public schools use TMDSAS. Secondary fees, interview travel and the MCAT cost the same either way. Add your own numbers in the total cost calculator, which takes AMCAS, AACOMAS, TMDSAS and CASPA counts together.
